This semester, as a part of Scout’s design studio, we expanded our scope of cooperation with Rooted Living. Rachel, the founder, is looking for a packaging redesign, an elevated design strategy, and new web pages to bolster the brand’s online presence.

How do we start?


We worked with Rachel weekly to stay updated on her vision. The redesign should feel personal, so we took time to understand the direction we wanted to take. 

Working through brand identity exercises, we put together some new goals and visions for this brand. 






Design Strategy



Leveraging the earthy image Rooted Living has established, we opted for earth tones, bright tones, and approachable fonts to keep the brand cool and timeless. 

We added natural notes to the design elements, using vines and sprouts to visually guide our eyes to where they need to be.
